Inspiration Photos

"Child with toy hand grenade in Central Park, N.Y.C." by Diane Arbus
I've always been inspired by Diane Arbus's photography because she has no interest in photographing the typical or something pretty. I'm very interested in street photography and she was a master. I got this image from the MET website it was taken in 1962.

Untitled by Vika Longi
Vika is my childhood and current best friend and is a photo major studying at Pratt. She has a beautiful eye for composition and truly creates her photographs like a painter would their painting. Through out her photo's you see her style, but it's hard to say exactly what it is, she has a signature of sorts. This is a photo posted on her instagram of her grandmother who she often photographs.

Untitled by Cindy Sherman
I always enjoyed Cindy Sherman and her pretty but twisted photos. She mostly photographed women and herself. She has a very strong sense of style throughout her photos as well. There is something a bit unsettling about all of her photos despite the apparent beauty of them. Found on Pinterest.
